Troubleshooting an Enphase System with an Envoy S

You have an Envoy S. This device connects your solar energy system to the internet and allows you to monitor your solar energy production online. For more information about this device, check out Enphase Envoy S monitoring gateway.

Check the Envoy S internet connection

Now that we know you have an Envoy S, we need to check to see how it connects to the internet. In that same weatherproof box, look at the equipment near your Envoy S.

If you see a little black or white box that looks sort of like a cell phone charger, it means we installed bridges to connect your Envoy S to the internet. Click the link to go to the next step in Troubleshooting an Enphase system with a bridge connection.

Bridge A

If you don’t see any other equipment, it likely means that we’re using your wifi to connect your Envoy S to the internet. Click the link to go to the next step in Troubleshooting an Enphase system with an Envoy and wifi connection.

If see a little blue or purplish colored box, it means we installed a cellular modem or “cell kit” to connect your solar energy system to the internet. Click the link to go to the next step in Troubleshooting an Enphase system with an Envoy and cell kit connection.
